Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Vail, AZ
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity working with students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a supportive school setting. Three openings are available, each offering a chance to make a meaningful impact in a vibrant educational environment near Vail, AZ.
Openings include:
- One position starting January 4th, 2027, through May 28th, 2027, serving Cienega High School and providing support for some homebound students.
- Two positions beginning March 1st, 2027, through May 28th, 2027; one at an elementary school, and the other at a K-8 school.
All roles are full-time (40 hours per week) and involve stepping into established caseloads, providing continuity of care while the regular SLP is on leave. You will work with pediatric populations, supporting students’ communication needs and participating in interdisciplinary teams.
Qualifications:
- Valid Arizona Speech-Language Pathology license
- IVP fingerprint clearance card required
- CCC-SLP or CFY candidates considered
- Pediatric and school-based SLP experience preferred
- Experience with IEP documentation and process
- Comfortable working as an itinerant therapist, traveling between assigned schools and providing services to homebound students when needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy to students
- Implement and monitor IEPs, maintaining compliance with federal and state guidelines
- Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers to support student progress
- Accurately document services and student outcomes within the IEP system
- Attend meetings, participate in contract review processes as required by the district
