School Speech Language Pathologist - Schertz, Texas
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in the San Antonio area as a Speech Language Pathologist for a vital maternity leave coverage during the first 9-week period of the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time role (37.5 hours per week) involves serving two campuses, ensuring ongoing speech-language support and continuity of care for students and staff. You'll have a chance to supervise a bilingual SLPA and play a key role in meeting diverse communication needs within a dynamic school community.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Professional Texas licensure in Speech-Language Pathology (submit license proof)
- School-based experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to supervise a bilingual SLPA; bilingual Spanish skills are a plus
- Must complete fingerprinting/background check per school district guidelines
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to students across two campuses
- Conduct evaluations, write reports, and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Supervise and mentor a bilingual Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation
