Pediatric School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Trumansburg, New York
Experience an impactful opportunity to support students in a dynamic K-12 educational setting by providing essential speech and language therapy services for the 2025-26 school year. This contract position, based near Trumansburg and within reach of Ithaca, NY, is ideal for a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist passionate about helping students with a variety of communication and developmental needs. With a 32.5-hour workweek and a caseload ranging from mild to severe disabilities, you will make a difference in the lives of children facing challenges such as autism, cognitive delays, emotional disturbances, and Down Syndrome.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current and valid NY SLP License, plus active TSSLD Certification
- Experience or strong interest in pediatric and school-based SLP services
- Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) are welcomed and supported
- Comfort with technology for teletherapy as needed
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with diverse speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and track student progress
- Document therapy sessions and report data per school and regulatory standards
- Consult with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and faculty meetings as required
