School Speech Language Pathologist - Albany, New York
Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Speech Language Pathologist, working on-site for the upcoming 26/27 school year. This contract role focuses on delivering exceptional support to students in a dynamic, collaborative educational environment. Responsibilities include providing speech and language therapy, conducting assessments, developing individualized education plans, and collaborating closely with staff and families to maximize student outcomes. Assignments, caseloads, and age groups will be determined prior to start, ensuring the right fit for your experience and expertise.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Maryland SLP Licensure (must provide proof prior to placement)
- CCC credential highly preferred; strong Clinical Fellows (CFs) considered—must have CFY supervision in place prior to application
- Previous school-based experience
- Experience creating effective treatment plans and documentation
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments and deliver evidence-based therapy
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate student records and progress reports
- Communicate regularly with educators, families, and support staff
- Adapt interventions to support students from diverse backgrounds and abilities
This contract runs from August 25, 2026, through June 16, 2027, with a consistent 35-hour work week. Compensation ranges from $46 to $58 per hour, commensurate with school-based experience. The location is convenient to both Rockville, MD and the greater Washington, DC area, providing an excellent setting for professional growth.
Interviews will begin on April 27, 2026. Prescreening interviews will be accommodated within morning or afternoon time slots (9-11 am or 2-3 pm EST), with some flexibility.
