School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Torrance, California
Step into an impactful opportunity to support middle school students as a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist. In this onsite, contract-based position, you'll work with a diverse caseload and make meaningful contributions to student success. With a workweek of three days—Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays—this role offers the flexibility to balance your professional life while carrying out your passion for helping others.
Your responsibilities will focus on general duties within a middle school setting, collaborating with educators and other specialists to deliver comprehensive speech and language services. The upcoming assignment begins as soon as possible and lasts through June 9, 2027, giving you the chance to build relationships and make a lasting difference.
Key Qualifications:
- Active California SLP license is required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Previous school-based experience, ideally at the middle school level
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Comfortable working onsite for 6-hour days
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively in a dynamic school environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to middle school students
- Conduct assessments, develop IEPs, and participate in student support meetings
- Document progress and maintain accurate records
- Work closely with students, families, and staff to ensure optimal outcomes
