Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Tomball, TX
Make a difference in students’ lives while expanding your professional skills as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist in a supportive educational environment near Tomball, TX. This full-time opportunity offers hands-on experiences with a diverse K-5 caseload—typically based at one campus, with occasional coverage at two locations. You’ll provide essential speech therapy services and, if holding the CCC credential, have the chance to supervise and mentor colleagues.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license in Texas required
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; consideration for Clinical Fellows (CFs)
- Experience in school-based SLP roles highly desirable
- Strong assessment, documentation, and communication abilities
- Comfort working with a caseload of approximately 60 students
- Willingness to supervise SLPA and CFs, if applicable
- Flexibility to deliver services at multiple school sites if needed
- Passion for fostering meaningful progress in a diverse student population
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication evaluations
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs
- Provide direct therapy and monitor progress
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists
- Supervise and support SLPA team members (if CCC)
- Maintain accurate records and comply with school/district policies
