School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Tijeras, New Mexico
Make a meaningful impact supporting students across grades K-5 by providing essential speech and language services for the 2026-2027 school year. You'll play an active role in helping children develop communication skills needed for success, all within a supportive educational environment at two elementary schools.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current, valid New Mexico SLP license
- Valid PED credential (must be ready to present; applications or pending credentials not accepted)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) strongly preferred
- Previous experience in a school-based setting, especially K-5, is highly valued
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
Responsibilities:
- Serve a caseload of 35+ elementary students with diverse speech and language needs
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized intervention plans, and deliver evidence-based therapy
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to promote student progress
- Document services, maintain accurate records, and comply with all district and state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing meaningful, actionable recommendations for student success
- Work full-time, Monday through Friday (37.5 hours weekly), throughout the academic year (August 4th, 2026–May 28th, 2027)
