School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Thomasville, North Carolina

Step into an exciting contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the heart of North Carolina! Several full-time positions are available, serving schools across the east and southern areas of a welcoming district near Thomasville. This assignment runs from August 12, 2026, through June 11, 2027, offering 35-37.5 hours a week of meaningful work alongside dedicated educators and fellow specialists.
Ideal candidates will be passionate about making a difference in students’ lives, and those holding Clinical Fellowship (SLP-CF) status are encouraged to apply—district supervision is available. Please note, SLPA credentials are not being considered at this time.
Qualifications & Experience:
- North Carolina SLP licensure required (current or in process)
- Valid CCC-SLP or Clinical Fellowship status
- School-based SLP experience preferred, but open to new graduates with strong clinical skills
- Familiarity working with students on the autism spectrum (AU) and those with low cognitive disabilities
- Flexible, collaborative, and eager to contribute to a multi-disciplinary team
- Strong documentation and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload (up to 35 students) with flexibility on student age and grade; details will be tailored during the interview process
- Provide engaging and evidence-based speech-language therapy for students with diverse needs
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and document progress using district-approved tools
- Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to support student goals and overall success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to supportive learning environments
