Travel Speech Language Pathologist in Thermal, CA
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the 2026-2027 school year in Thermal, CA. This onsite role prioritizes candidates who are able to work directly within the school environment, with potential itinerant assignments across multiple locations. Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid SLP certification with Certificate of Clearance (COC) required
- Bilingual Spanish skills are strongly preferred to support diverse student populations
- Previous experience in educational settings and with Special Education Information System (SEIS) is preferred
- Familiarity with California Medicaid processes (Paradigm) is highly valued
- Experience serving students with mild to moderate needs, including those requiring AAC devices; some work with severe needs students
Location: Thermal, California – onsite school-based position with travel between sites potential.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language evaluations and therapy services to students
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Manage documentation and reporting in line with state and district guidelines
- Support diverse student needs, including use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices
- Participate in ongoing professional development and compliance training related to school district policies
