Remote Speech-Language Pathologist - Washington
Qualifications
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited program
• Active Washington State SLP License issued by the Washington State Board of Speech and Hearing
• Active Washington Educational Staff Associate (ESA) Certificate issued by the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI)
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience (school-based and/or teletherapy preferred)
• Experience with Washington IEP processes, evaluations, and virtual service delivery is a plus
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
• Comfortable using teletherapy platforms and digital assessment/intervention tools
Key Responsibilities
Assessment & Intervention
• Conduct virtual speech and language evaluations to identify articulation, language, fluency, pragmatic, and communication disorders
• Develop and implement individualized therapy treatment plans aligned with each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP)
• Deliver direct telepractice services focused on functional, educational communication goals and track progress
• Analyze data to evaluate therapeutic outcomes and make clinical adjustments to intervention strategies
Collaboration & Support
• Collaborate closely with general and special education teachers, educational support staff, and parents to support academic communication
• Provide teachers and families with classroom accommodation strategies, carryover activities, and consultative support
• Participate actively in virtual IEP meetings, evaluation team meetings, and multidisciplinary reviews
Documentation & Compliance
• Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely documentation of direct service logs, progress notes, and IEP goal updates
• Ensure all evaluations and therapeutic services strictly comply with OSPI regulations, district policies, and federal special education mandates (IDEA)
• Complete comprehensive evaluation summaries, eligibility determination forms, and state-required compliance paperwork
Technology & Teletherapy Tools
• Utilize secure teletherapy platforms, interactive digital tools, and virtual visual stimuli to deliver engaging therapy sessions
• Adapt digital learning materials and clinical resources for an effective remote learning environment
• Support onsite e-helpers, facilitators, and families with platform setup and basic technical troubleshooting
Advocacy & Education
• Guide students in building functional communication, self-advocacy skills, and AAC integration where applicable
• Provide educational guidance and resources to school staff and families regarding speech-language development and communication strategies

• Compensation for both Direct & Indirect Service Hours
• Estimated Pay Range: $48 – $59+ / hr (commensurate with experience, district budget, and candidate fit)
• Flexibility with schedule and working 100% from home
