A full-time Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) contract position is available, providing both direct therapy services and case management for students across multiple grade levels. This role primarily supports middle school students with some elementary involvement, serving a caseload of approximately 55 students. The position is itinerant, covering various school locations with paid travel time included.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting speech and language evaluations and delivering therapy tailored to student needs
- Managing individual education plans (IEPs) and maintaining thorough case documentation
- Participating in team meetings and collaborating with educators and support staff
- Supervising support personnel as required
- Utilizing designated IEP systems with provided training
- Providing services within allocated therapy spaces at school sites
Qualifications and experience desired:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology licensure or certification appropriate for school settings
- Experience with both middle school and elementary populations preferred
- Familiarity with IEP development and compliance in educational environments
- Ability to manage caseloads efficiently while providing high-quality care
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Willingness to travel between schools to meet service delivery needs
Location: Berkeley, CA, with services delivered in nearby school districts. The contract begins with the new school year and involves a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week.
