Telehealth Speech Therapy - GA
A contracted opportunity is available for Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) in Rome, GA, providing critical services within educational settings. Two distinct roles offer varied responsibilities and settings to meet different professional interests.
Position 1 focuses on compensatory services across multiple school sites. This role involves traveling between locations to address and complete compensatory service requirements for students. The caseload is manageable, serving learners from Pre-K through 12th grade. Summer services for this position are required from June 1 through June 30.
Position 2 is based at a single elementary school and entails working with approximately 45 to 55 students from Pre-K to 6th grade. Comfort with documenting services utilizing the Paddynet platform is necessary.
Key responsibilities for both roles include:
- Delivering speech and language therapy to diverse student populations
- Collaborating with parents, educators, and administration through various communication channels
- Coordinating schedules for IEP meetings and parent conferences, often using Google Calendar
- Completing evaluations, eligibility assessments, Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and data collection for student progress
Preferred qualifications and skills:
- Certification in Speech Language Pathology (CCC strongly preferred)
- Experience in school-based settings, pediatrics, healthcare, or clinical fellowship year (CFY)
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication and collaboration
- Proficiency with educational documentation and scheduling software
