Now Hiring: Remote Speech Language Pathologist in Minnesota
We are seeking a compassionate, qualified, and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide remote speech and language services to students in Minnesota. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping students communicate, learn, and thrive and has experience working with children and adolescents with diverse communication needs.
This is a fully remote school-based position. The SLP will provide virtual speech and language services, participate in IEP meetings, collaborate with educators and families, and support students through an engaging and effective teletherapy environment.
Prior remote or teletherapy experience is preferred but not required. Qualified candidates who are new to virtual service delivery are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Provide virtual speech-language evaluations, assessments, and therapy services to PreK–12 students.
- Develop and implement individualized speech and language intervention plans based on evaluation results, student needs, and IEP goals.
- Provide evidence-based intervention addressing articulation, receptive and expressive language, fluency, voice, social communication, and other communication needs as appropriate.
- Participate in the development, implementation, and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment strategies and interventions based on student performance and data.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic documentation, including treatment notes, evaluations, progress reports, and other required records.
- Participate virtually in IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and parent conferences.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, school administrators, parents/guardians, and other related service providers.
- Provide teachers and families with strategies and recommendations to support students' communication skills across educational environments.
- Communicate regularly with families and school teams regarding student progress, needs, and recommendations.
- Utilize virtual therapy platforms and technology to deliver engaging and effective speech-language services.
- Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and school district requirements governing speech-language services.
- Create a supportive, engaging, and student-centered virtual therapy environment.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Active Valid Minnesota Speech-Language Pathology license required.
- Candidates must be appropriately licensed and qualified to provide speech-language pathology services to students in Pennsylvania.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred or eligibility for ASHA certification.
- Experience working with children and adolescents in a school, pediatric, or educational setting preferred.
- Knowledge of special education processes, IEPs, evaluations, progress monitoring, and educational accommodations.
- Strong understanding of evidence-based speech-language assessment and intervention practices.
- Previous remote/teletherapy experience preferred, but not required.
- Comfortable learning and using virtual platforms, electronic documentation systems, and online communication tools.
- Strong communication, organization, time-management, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with students, families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Must have a reliable personal laptop/computer capable of supporting virtual service delivery and required software/platforms.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a private, professional environment suitable for providing confidential virtual therapy services.
- Commitment to providing individualized, high-quality services to students.
