Telehealth Speech Language Pathologist | Arizona
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist position is available within a school setting in Phoenix, AZ, offering a blend of telespeech and traditional school-based therapy services. This role focuses on supporting students from pre-kindergarten through 6th grade across four self-contained classrooms, managing a caseload alongside two Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs).
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting speech and language evaluations, with a priority given to candidates available for in-person assessments
- Delivering therapy services both virtually and in person, with in-person days averaging one per week but flexible based on evaluation demand
- Supervising two SLPAs and managing a split caseload to ensure coverage and support for all students
- Collaborating with educational staff and families to develop individualized education programs (IEPs) and track progress
- Maintaining accurate documentation and compliance with school district and state regulations
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is required
- Experience supervising staff preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to work both virtually and in-person as needed
- Strong organizational and communication skills tailored to a school environment
- Comfort managing multiple classrooms’ needs within a school-based caseload
