A school district in Alabama is seeking experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for full-time virtual contract positions for the 2026โ2027 school year. There are currently 3 virtual openings available, providing an excellent opportunity for qualified SLPs in the Birmingham, AL area who are interested in delivering school-based services remotely.
These positions will support students within Montgomery Public Schools. SLPs will be responsible for both therapy and evaluations, with caseloads not exceeding approximately 60 students. Candidates must hold an active Alabama SLP license and ASHA certification to be considered.

ยท Provide virtual speech and language therapy services to students
ยท Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments
ยท Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on student needs
ยท Provide individual and group-based therapy services as appropriate
ยท Participate in IEP meetings and assist with developing appropriate goals
ยท Collaborate virtually with teachers, families, administrators, and school-based staff
ยท Monitor student progress and complete required progress reports
ยท Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district and state requirements

ยท Previous school-based or pediatric SLP experience preferred
ยท Previous virtual or teletherapy experience is a plus
ยท Candidates should be comfortable providing both therapy and evaluations
ยท Experience managing a diverse school-based caseload is preferred

ยท Masterโs degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
ยท Active Alabama Speech-Language Pathologist license required
ยท ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
ยท Alabama Educator SLP Certificate required or may be pending at the time of start
ยท Must meet all state and district requirements for school-based SLP practice
