Telehealth - Teacher for the Deaf or Hard of Hearing

VocoVision is partnering with school districts across the country to place dedicated TVIs who are ready to bring expert instruction and genuine care to students who need it most.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized virtual instruction to K-12 students with visual impairments, ensuring access to the general education curriculum
- Assess student needs and develop individualized instructional programs aligned with IEP goals
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to promote student progress and inclusion
- Recommend and support the use of assistive technology, adapted materials, and low vision tools
- Contribute to IEP development, attend meetings, and maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Support students' independence, orientation and mobility, and social-emotional development
Requirements
- Valid Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification
- Active state licensure/credentials in your state of residence
- Experience working with students with visual impairments in a K-12 setting
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional workspace
- PEL
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with braille instruction and/or assistive technology for the visually impaired
- Familiarity with special education law and IEP compliance
- At least 2 years' experience in a school setting within the past 5 years — all applicants are still welcome!
- Previous teletherapy or virtual instruction experience — those without are still encouraged to apply!

This is an independent contractor (1099) position. Benefits are not included.
Compensation for this position ranges from $39.07 to $69.07. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
