This contract role spans three days per week from February through the end of the school year. You’ll work throughout Monroe County, traveling between several parochial schools to make a direct impact on students’ communication skills. Professionals with their Certificate of Clinical Competence are preferred, but those in their CFY are welcome to apply as well.
Desired Background & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active state SLP license (or eligibility)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence preferred; Clinical Fellowship Year candidates considered
- Previous experience or strong interest in school-based or pediatric speech therapy
- Ability to work confidently across multiple locations with reliable transportation
- Excellent communication and time management skills
Responsibilities Include:
- Assessing and evaluating the speech, language, and communication needs of students
- Developing and delivering IEP-driven therapy sessions both individually and in small groups
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and school teams to support educational goals
- Maintaining accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and state requirements
- Providing consultative support to staff and families where needed
