The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the current Speech Language Pathologist, who will be adjusting their schedule accordingly.
Location: Sanford, FL
Duration: Contract role through the current school year, ending May 29, 2026
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver direct therapy services tailored to student needs in a school environment
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in compliance with school and district policies
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Florida Department of Health license for Speech Language Pathology required
- Professional licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Experience working with elementary-aged children (PreK-5th grade) in a school setting preferred
- Ability to manage a varied caseload effectively, including direct therapy and consultative services
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
