Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active and valid SLP license in California
- Previous experience working with students in early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school (PreK-12)
- Familiarity with a range of speech, language, and communication disorders in school-aged children
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Ability to develop engaging, effective individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Commitment to inclusive and culturally sensitive practices
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and therapy for students with speech and language needs across multiple grade levels
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to create supportive learning environments
- Develop IEPs, maintain accurate records, and contribute to multi-disciplinary team meetings
- Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions tailored to students’ unique needs
- Offer expertise and coaching to teachers and support staff regarding speech-language development
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed to maximize outcomes
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and maintain compliance with agency and state requirements
