Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to create individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Adept at engaging with teachers, families, and other service professionals
What You’ll Do:
- Assess speech, language, and communication abilities using standardized tools
- Develop and implement individualized education plans for students
- Deliver therapy sessions—individually or in small groups—targeting speech and language goals
- Document progress and maintain detailed records in compliance with school, district, and legal requirements
- Attend multidisciplinary meetings to collaborate on student success
- Consult with educators and families, providing support and resources
- Stay current with best practices and attend professional development sessions
