School Speech and Language Pathologist | Sunnyvale, California
A contract opportunity is available for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) to provide services in a school setting located in Sunnyvale, CA. This role requires collaboration with two additional SLP professionals to support students across elementary, middle, high school, and postsecondary levels.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) certification
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Experience working in a school environment is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff
- Ability to adapt to various student needs and work independently
Work Schedule:
- Elementary & Middle School: June 10 – July 7, 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM (4.5 hours/day with a 15-minute grace period before and after)
- High School: June 15 – July 10, 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM (6.5 hours/day plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch break, with a 15-minute grace period before and after)
- Postsecondary: June 16 – July 13, 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM (6.5 hours/day plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch break, with a 15-minute grace period before and after)
- Holidays: No work on June 19 and July 4
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations for students at various educational levels
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide therapeutic services and monitor student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support student success
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with regulations
This is a contract role ideal for licensed SLPs seeking meaningful work in an educational environment during the summer session. Candidates who meet the qualifications and are interested in supporting student communication development are encouraged to apply.
