An opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential services within an elementary school setting in Charleston, SC. This contract position requires on-site presence and is full-time, Monday through Friday. The assignment begins as soon as possible and extends through the end of the school year, covering two separate medical and maternity leaves at different schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech therapy services to general education and resource students.
- Manage caseloads including Low Incidence and Low Incidence/Autism programs.
- Transition mid-assignment from Dunston Elementary to an elementary school in West Ashley to cover a maternity leave.
- Collaborate with school staff to support student communication development.
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Active South Carolina State Licensure for Speech-Language Pathology (pending licensure not accepted).
- Active South Carolina Educator Certification.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology required; Clinical Fellows (CF) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) not eligible.
- Experience levels from entry-level to seasoned professionals are welcomed, with pay commensurate with years of relevant school experience.
- Ability to work full-time on-site within Charleston County.
Location:
- Initial placement at Dunston Elementary School, Charleston, SC.
- Later transition to a West Ashley elementary school within the Charleston area.
