This full-time, onsite contract opportunity runs from August 11, 2026, through June 6, 2027, in the greater Napa, CA area. You’ll have the flexibility to work across one or two sites, supporting Special Day Classes with varying intensity levels and age groups.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current, active Speech-Language Pathology license and certification in California (SLP-CCC)
- Prior school-based or pediatric SLP experience highly valued
- Strong assessment, intervention, and progress-monitoring skills
- Proficiency working with Intensive and Mild/Moderate Special Day Classes
- Effective communication abilities with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to delivering onsite, in-person services
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
- Develop and implement IEP goals and tailored therapy plans for students in Special Day Classes (High School, Post-Secondary, Middle, Elementary, TK-5)
- Provide direct therapy and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
- Monitor student progress and maintain detailed records
- Participate in IEP meetings and school-based team discussions
- Serve as a resource to staff regarding communication needs and strategies
