With a manageable caseload well below state maximums, you will focus on delivering high-quality support to students from diverse backgrounds and collaborate closely with education professionals. This onsite position is located near Sterling Heights, MI, and includes 37.5 hours weekly from August 17, 2026, through June 23, 2027.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech-language therapy services to a varied student population, supporting communication and language development
- Conduct in-depth evaluations and assessments, documenting findings and progress
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in alignment with federal and state guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to create student-centered intervention strategies
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the multidisciplinary planning for students’ educational success
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state requirements
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Familiarity with school-based caseloads and IEP process
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively within educational teams
- Strong organizational skills and a passion for supporting children’s growth
