Speech and Language Pathologist - New York, NY
A dynamic opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential services within a school setting in New York, NY. This contract position offers a structured schedule from 8:15 am to 3:15 pm, Monday through Friday, serving school-age children with a caseload of ten 30-minute sessions daily (50 sessions per week).
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting Individualized Education Program (IEP) development and goal setting
- Completing thorough documentation and reporting
- Delivering both direct and indirect speech therapy services
- Participating in team meetings and collaborative planning
You will join a skilled team of five other SLPs, providing a supportive and collaborative professional environment. The assignment runs through June 27, 2026, with the potential to extend for summer school and the 2026-2027 academic year.
Qualifications:
- Must hold the TSSLD (Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities) certification
- Credentials relevant for school-based SLPs, including SLP-CFY or CCC credentials, are desired
- Experience working with school-age children preferred
