Key Experience & Qualifications:
- Current or eligibility for state licensure as an SLP
- SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY status welcome
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is highly valued
- Ability to manage an elementary caseload effectively
- Bilingual Spanish/English skills are essential for serving the community
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills to work cooperatively with school staff and families
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to elementary-aged students in individual and group settings
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to student needs
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and parents
- Maintain precise records and progress notes as required by the school district
- Participate in meetings, professional development, and parent conferences
- Adapt therapeutic approaches to meet diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds
This contract position allows you to make a meaningful difference on a set schedule, Monday through Friday, and gives you the chance to be a key player in nurturing communication confidence in young learners.
