Speech and Language Pathologist in Katy, TX
A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a contract position at a school-based setting in Houston, TX. This opportunity is ideal for licensed SLPs with a background in school-based therapy, seeking a focused role supporting students through make-up therapy sessions without the responsibility of evaluations or ARD meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide make-up speech therapy services to students, adhering to prescribed treatment plans
- Manage a caseload within one school, serving school-age children
- Work 7.5 hours per day, Monday through Friday, totaling 37.5 hours per week
- Ensure compliance with district policies and procedures
- Maintain necessary documentation for therapy sessions
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current SLP licensure required
- Certified SLP with CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) preferred
- Previous experience working in a school setting is highly desirable
- Ability to pass fingerprint background checks as required by the school district
- Reliable and punctual, with strong communication and organizational skills
