A mid-March to end-of-school-year contract opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students at a middle school in Woodbridge, VA. This role is onsite with a caseload of approximately 50 students, providing speech and language services to support their academic progress. The position is part of a maternity leave coverage, with a typical potential for renewal due to personnel changes each summer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech-language pathology services according to students’ IEPs.
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement effective therapy plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports.
- Participate in team meetings and provide input on student goals.
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in Virginia.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
- Experience working in a school setting, preferably with middle school students.
- Strong understanding of school-based therapy requirements and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work onsite and manage a caseload independently.
