This contract role, located near Splendora, TX, focuses on evaluating, supervising, and participating in ARDs, empowering young learners (PK–5th) to succeed while not requiring a therapy caseload unless you choose.
In this role, you'll be central to fostering communication growth and supporting student success. You'll work on-site at one elementary school, managing a caseload of approximately 140 students. Flex your clinical knowledge while advising and collaborating with school staff, and take the lead on evaluations and ARDs—especially for speech primary students and those undergoing Full and Individual Evaluations (FIEs). Enjoy a consistent 8:00 AM–4:30 PM schedule, with your contract running from ASAP through May 19, 2027.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid SLP-CCC credentials
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
- Experience in schools, with knowledge of ARD procedures and FIE processes
- Prior roles involving evaluations and supervision strongly preferred
- Comfortable communicating across diverse teams and with families
- Commitment to collaborative, student-centered practices
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech-language evaluations for students in PK–5th grade
- Supervise SLPs or SLPA staff as needed
- Attend and actively participate in ARD meetings related to speech services and FIE reviews
- Develop, interpret, and discuss evaluation findings with educational teams and families
- Maintain documentation and comply with all state, federal, and district regulations
- Optionally provide direct speech therapy to students if desired
