Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active state licensure (or eligibility to obtain) as an SLP
  • Prior experience working in a school environment is a plus
  • Ability to evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Aptitude for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and families

Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment and therapy services to students from a variety of backgrounds, tailoring support to individual needs
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Maintain accurate records and progress reports in compliance with school and state guidelines
  • Consult with teachers and staff to incorporate language and communication goals in the classroom
  • Offer guidance and resources to families, empowering them to support student progress at home
  • Attend and contribute to meetings regarding student plans and progress
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices
