Desired background and skills:
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Prior experience working in a school-based or pediatric setting strongly preferred
- Comfortable providing therapy and assessments for students with a wide spectrum of abilities, including those using AAC devices
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Flexibility and adaptability within a fast-paced learning environment
- Current licensure to practice as an SLP in North Carolina, or the ability to obtain licensure quickly
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting screenings, evaluations, and therapy sessions for elementary students
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
- Collaborating closely with educators, families, and support staff
- Maintaining thorough and accurate student records in compliance with school and state guidelines
