Pediatric School Speech Therapist - Hampstead, North Carolina
Providing vital speech-language services in an elementary school setting, this onsite Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position focuses on supporting students during the Extended School Year (ESY) program. The role offers a flexible contract opportunity from ASAP through early June 2026, with full-time and part-time hours available.
This position requires an SLP holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), with recent graduates completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) encouraged to apply. Experience working within school environments, pediatrics, healthcare settings, or via teletherapy is valued as it enriches service delivery to young learners.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification as an SLP with CCC or completion of CFY
- Experience in school-based speech-language pathology preferred
- Knowledge of pediatric speech-language needs and interventions
- Ability to deliver therapy onsite within an elementary school
- Flexibility to work part-time or full-time (37.5 hours/week typical)
- Strong caseload management skills, as caseloads average 45-50 students

Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech-language therapy services to students during ESY
- Develop, implement, and update individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy services and outcomes
- Adjust therapy approaches to meet diverse communication needs, including teletherapy if applicable
