Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP‑CCC)

Job Description

A school district in Savannah, Georgia is seeking a qualified Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP‑CCC) for a full‑time, school‑based contract. This position serves K–12 students and focuses on providing speech and language services to support communication, academic success, and social development. Candidates must hold their ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and possess the appropriate Georgia credentials to provide services in a school setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide speech‑language therapy services to students in individual and group settings
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication disorders
  • Develop, implement, and manage IEP goals and services
  • Conduct evaluations and re‑evaluations in compliance with district and federal guidelines
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers
  • Provide consultation and training to staff regarding communication strategies and interventions
  • Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and service logs
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
  • Support student access to curriculum and communication development

Qualifications

  • Active Georgia Speech‑Language Pathologist license required
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) required
  • Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GA PSC) certification required
  • Ability to pass background checks, fingerprinting, and district clearances
  • Licensing and credentialing support may be available for eligible candidates

Education

  • Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology or a related field

Experience

  • Previous school‑based or pediatric experience preferred
  • Experience managing caseloads and supporting IEP compliance preferred
  • Experience working with K–12 student populations preferred

  • Strong knowledge of speech‑language therapy practices in educational settings
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong organizational and documentation abilities
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to supporting diverse student populations

Work Hours

  • Monday–Friday
  • 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Approximately 37–40 hours per week
