School Speech Therapist | Camarillo, California
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist is needed to provide services for students in grades 7 through 12 in a high school setting. This role involves working with a diverse student population, including individuals receiving speech-only therapy as well as those requiring comprehensive special education support. The position is a contracted maternity leave assignment from February to April.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services tailored to individual student needs.
- Provide evaluations, treatment plans, and progress monitoring for students with speech and language impairments.
- Collaborate with special education staff and other professionals to implement comprehensive support plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team discussions regarding student progress and goals.
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
- Experience working with school-age children, preferably in a middle or high school environment.
- Knowledge of special education processes and ability to provide both speech-only and full special education services.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
