A unique opportunity has opened for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist who is passionate about making a difference in elementary education. Beginning mid-August and extending through early November 2026, this contract assignment will cover a leave of absence at a vibrant campus. As the primary SLP for students receiving Resource Specialist Program (RSP) and some Special Day Class (SDC) services (excluding moderate/severe needs), you will collaborate on-site with a fellow SLP responsible for those students. This hands-on, in-person position offers a chance to work in a supportive school environment that values both collaboration and independence.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Possession of a current SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
  • At least one year of experience as an SLP in a public school setting preferred
  • Previous work with elementary-aged students in educational environments
  • Ability to work in-person; remote/virtual therapy is not supported
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a collaborative approach to supporting students, families, and staff
  • Well-organized and adaptable to shifting school schedules and diverse student needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech and language therapy services primarily for RSP students, with some SDC caseload
  • Conduct student assessments and re-evaluations, maintaining accurate documentation
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the school team
  • Consult and cooperate with teachers and staff to ensure continuity of care and support
  • Participate actively in school meetings and parent conferences as needed

As part of this assignment, you’ll enjoy a 37.5-hour workweek, with a daily duty-free 30-minute lunch separated from student responsibilities. You’ll be engaged at an elementary campus with another on-site SLP for collaboration.
