Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - San Jose, CA
A position is available for a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) specialized in pediatrics to serve an elementary school site in San Jose, CA. This contract role covers a current vacancy and focuses on providing essential speech and language therapy support to young students within the school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, and communication disorders for elementary-aged students.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Maintain detailed records of therapy sessions, progress reports, and compliance with school policies.
- Participate in IEP meetings, including additional hours scheduled beyond standard working hours as needed.
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy strategies to ensure effective intervention.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required.
- Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in school settings.
- Knowledge of school-based therapy protocols and IEP processes.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Location and Schedule:
- Elementary school location in San Jose, CA.
- Standard hours from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with additional hours for IEP-related meetings as necessary.
- Position duration aligns with the current school year (CSY).
