Desired Background and Skills:
- Valid state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
- Pediatric experience or strong interest in working with children and youth
- Familiarity with working across early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school age groups
- Ability to conduct assessments and create tailored therapy plans
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Compassionate and adaptable approach to serve varied student needs
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting strongly preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students in Pre-K, elementary, middle, and high school
- Evaluate and monitor progress, updating goals as needed in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams
- Administer screenings and comprehensive assessments to determine eligibility and service needs
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans
- Document services and student progress per district and legal guidelines
- Consult with parents, teachers, and other professionals to maximize therapy effectiveness
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
