Bilingual (Spanish/English) Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) Job Opening - Maternity Leave
Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Bilingual (Spanish/English) Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) for a full-time school-based maternity leave assignment for the upcoming school year with districts in the San Antonio, Texas area. This role will cover the period from August 17, 2026 through October 9, 2026, with potential opportunities for extension or renewal based on performance and district needs.
This position also includes supervision of a bilingual Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), making it an excellent opportunity for a clinician with leadership experience or interest in mentoring support staff.
Position Overview:
Full-time, school-based contract role
Location: San Antonio, Texas area
Assignment dates: August 17, 2026 – October 9, 2026
Maternity leave coverage with potential extension or renewal
Supervision of a bilingual SLPA required
Requirements:
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
Active Texas licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR)
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA, preferred or required depending on district
Texas Educator Certification in Speech-Language Pathology, if required by the district
Bilingual Spanish/English proficiency required
Compliance with all Texas state and local district requirements
Successful completion of background check and fingerprinting
Previous school-based experience strongly preferred
Experience supervising or collaborating with SLPAs preferred
Typical Responsibilities:
Provide speech and language evaluations and therapy services in both English and Spanish
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Supervise and support a bilingual SLPA in daily service delivery and documentation
Conduct screenings and assessments for speech and language disorders
Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and compliance records
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to eligibility determinations
Adjust therapy plans based on student data and progress monitoring
