You'll provide clinical expertise in one of two environments: supporting K–5 learners at a vibrant elementary school or addressing complex communication needs for students aged K–12 in a specialized program. Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in North Carolina.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience with school-based caseloads, especially with elementary-aged children or low-incidence disabilities, is desired.
- Strong skills in conducting evaluations, developing IEP goals, and providing direct therapy.
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and inclusive communication strategies.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy to students as outlined in IEPs.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop clear, measurable goals.
- Manage assigned caseloads, including documentation and progress monitoring.
- Participate in IEP meetings, collaborating on intervention plans and accommodations.
- Employ augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems when appropriate.
- Provide support and education to staff and families regarding speech and language development.
