In this role, you will work 37.5 hours per week, primarily stationed at the elementary level within a dynamic school district. The position may involve assisting across one or two campuses, depending on evolving needs. You’ll manage a caseload that includes approximately 3400 service minutes, with a notable focus on supporting non-verbal students utilizing AAC devices. The district prioritizes adaptability, so candidates open to changing caseloads and settings will thrive here.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Missouri SLP or SLPA license required
- Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Competence in supporting non-verbal students, especially those using AAC devices
- Flexibility to adapt to shifting caseloads, student needs, and potential campus changes
- Strong collaborative and documentation skills
- Ability to complete all district credentialing promptly, including fingerprinting and required forms
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy to elementary-aged students, including those with significant communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans, document progress, and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multi-disciplinary teams to optimize student outcomes
- Provide support or coverage at additional schools as needed
