Step into a pivotal role supporting elementary students with communication needs in an engaging school environment near Saint Louis, MO. We're seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a contract position beginning as soon as possible and extending through May 2027. This is an on-site opportunity, where adaptability and a passion for facilitating communication growth will truly make a difference.
What we’re looking for:
- Active Missouri SLP or SLPA license
- Flexibility to adapt as student or district needs evolve
- Experience supporting non-verbal students and AAC device users is highly valued
- Ability to navigate time-sensitive credentialing (fingerprinting, technology forms)
- Enthusiasm for working across one or two school sites
- Commitment to 37.5 hours per week
Your responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy to an elementary caseload with approximately 3400 service minutes
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support students’ IEP goals
- Utilize AAC devices and other technology for students who require alternative communication methods
- Maintain accurate documentation of treatment and progress
- Potentially assist at an additional nearby school within the same district
