Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting student growth as an on-site Speech Language Pathologist for a contract role beginning August 2026 and ending May 2027. This position involves itinerant support across multiple school sites, serving a dynamic Pre K–12 population with mild to moderate caseloads averaging around 60 students. Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Current Florida Department of Health SLP license (active and in good standing)
- Experience in Pre K–12 education settings preferred
- Previous handling of school-based caseloads is an asset
- Ability to travel between multiple campuses as needed
- Flexibility to work with a range of age groups and student needs
- Must complete Florida Department of Education fingerprinting requirements; prior prints through the AHCA Clearinghouse may expedite the process with proper verification
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct assessment and therapy to students from Pre K through high school
- Serve mild to moderate caseloads and develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation according to state and district guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multi-disciplinary teams
- Travel between assigned schools in the district based on current needs
