Make an impact in the lives of students within a dynamic educational setting by providing essential speech and language services. This contract position offers the opportunity to work on-site with an established team of fellow professionals, supporting Pre K–12 students with a variety of communication needs. With assignments at one of several campuses, you'll engage students with mild to moderate needs, or provide specialized support at center schools serving more severe populations. The estimated caseload is approximately 60 students, subject to final assignment details.
What You’ll Bring:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current and active Florida Department of Health SLP licensure (ASHA CCC required)
- Experience working with Pre K–12 populations in educational settings preferred
- Ability to effectively manage time and caseload in a school environment
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet evolving student needs
- Willingness and ability to work exclusively on-site (remote/VOCO not available)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct assessment, diagnosis, and therapy for students with speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with school teams
- Conduct screenings and generate accurate, timely documentation
- Communicate progress and strategies with educators, families, and related service providers
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and trainings as required
Additional Details and Requirements:
- Contract runs from August 10, 2026, through May 28, 2027
- 35 hours per week, following the school calendar
- Assignment to one school location, determined before start date
- Time-sensitive credentialing: Fingerprinting required or status verified through the AHCA Clearinghouse; JLA badge procurement may take up to 10 business days
