Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - Roswell, NM
Make a meaningful difference in students’ lives as a contract Speech Language Pathologist supporting a single school site, serving a district-wide K-12 caseload near Roswell, NM. This is a full-time role, offering 35 hours per week with the opportunity to work alongside a collaborative educational team. You'll work with a diverse population, providing both assessment and intervention, and supporting the unique communication needs of children across all grade levels.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- ASHA Certification (CCC required)
- State SLP licensure (or ability to secure prior to start date)
- Experience or strong interest in working with pediatric and school-based populations
- Open to new graduates completing the Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Highly organized with excellent spoken and written communication skills
- Adaptability for collaborating with staff, families, and students across a range of ages and ability levels
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication evaluations for students ages 5-18
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for district-wide students
- Deliver targeted group and one-on-one speech-language therapy
- Document progress and ensure compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators
- Support families and caregivers to generalize communication skills at home and in the community
