Speech-Language Pathologist in Dalton, GA
A maternity leave contract opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Dalton, GA, serving multiple daycare locations within a supportive school district. This full-time itinerant position focuses on PreK children across approximately 4-5 Head Start daycare sites throughout the district, providing direct onsite services and managing individual education plans (IEPs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to a primary caseload of 13 PreK students and support a total of approximately 39 students with IEPs.
- Travel daily to various daycare locations within the district to deliver individualized therapy.
- Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with educational staff to support student progress.
- Uphold compliance with district policies and state guidelines for special education services.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license.
- Valid Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) SLP Educator Certificate.
- Previous school-based experience preferred, especially with PreK aged children.
- Ability to work independently and manage an itinerant caseload with effective time management.
Location:
- Dalton, Georgia, with travel required to multiple daycare centers within the school district.
