To obtain the “clear” credential: pass the Praxis® Speech-Language Pathology exam and complete a 36-week full-time mentored clinical experience (or equivalent supervised practicum).
-
Additionally, many school districts prefer or require a California SLP license issued by the Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology & Hearing Aid Dispensers Board (SLPAHADB) for broader practice, though the credential is the key for school-based roles.
