This onsite contract position is ideal for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) who holds a current Michigan SLP license with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC). The assignment covers the 2026-2027 school year, running from August through late June, with a manageable weekly schedule of 37.5 hours.
You’ll work directly with a caseload kept well below the state maximum of 60 students, allowing time for quality intervention and individual connection. Your expertise will help guide evaluations, implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and collaborate closely with teachers and support staff to foster an inclusive, communicative school environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Active Michigan SLP license with CCCs is required
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Adept at conducting evaluations and developing educational plans
- Effective communicator, both orally and in writing
- Collaborative approach to working with multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to students onsite
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine speech and language needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs and other relevant documentation
- Share progress and recommendations with parents and school staff
- Participate actively in student support and IEP meetings
- Consult and collaborate to deliver services within classroom settings
