In this school-based position, you’ll work with a caseload that remains well below the state maximum of 60 students, allowing you to deliver high-quality, individualized care. The assignment runs from August 17, 2026, through June 23, 2027, with a consistent weekly schedule of 37.5 hours.
Key qualifications:
- Michigan SLP license in good standing with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Previous school-based experience is highly desirable
- Strong background in administering evaluations and developing IEPs
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with students, families, and multidisciplinary school teams
- Passion for supporting student development and academic success
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough speech-language evaluations
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Providing direct therapy to students in both group and individual settings
- Maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines
- Collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to support each student’s progress
- Participating in school team meetings and contributing to a positive school culture
