Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Warren, MI
A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in an elementary school setting serving students from kindergarten through 5th grade in Warren, MI. This contract position extends through the current school year and involves working with a diverse K-5 caseload within a supportive district that values collaborative therapy services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to elementary-aged students under an established caseload model.
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers and support staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in team meetings; administrative and indirect hours are included.
- Deliver therapy in a dedicated space within the school, ensuring a comfortable and effective environment for students.
- Engage with district personnel through flexible Zoom interviews and maintain open communication with the department lead.
- Adhere to fingerprinting and credential requirements as part of the onboarding process.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid California Clinical Certificate of Competence (CCC) as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience in pediatric speech-language pathology, particularly within school settings.
- Skilled in managing K-5 caseloads with the ability to deliver individualized and group therapy sessions.
- Familiarity with school-based IEP systems and willingness to participate in training as provided by the district.
- Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Position Details:
- Contract duration: Immediate start through June 5, 2026.
- Work schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- Location: Elementary school in Warren, Michigan.
