School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Rio Linda, California

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist, supporting students from kindergarten through 12th grade in a dynamic educational environment. This onsite, full-time position runs from August 12, 2026, through June 4, 2027, and focuses on providing direct speech therapy services to a diverse student population. With flexible caseload assignments based on your experience and preferences, this itinerant role allows you to make a significant impact across multiple school sites.
What you bring:
- Current California SLP license and ASHA CCC required
- Experience working within school settings, ideally with K-12 students
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with school staff, families, and administrators
- Ability to manage and adapt caseloads based on assignment needs and your expertise
- Commitment to working exclusively on-site; this position is replacing remote/virtual SLP services
- Self-motivated with excellent time management and record-keeping skills
Your day-to-day responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech and language therapy services to assigned students
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate closely with special education teams and classroom teachers
- Travel to several school sites as assigned in an itinerant capacity
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal requirements
- Provide training and support to educational staff on strategies for supporting student communication needs
